Byōbu

Answering to Design Ras Al Khor (DRAK) theme of "What does luxury mean today?" Byōbu is a Japanese screen that directly translates into “wind wall”. The original purpose of the screen was to block drafts in traditional open layout in Japanese homes.

Nakkash Design Studio's definition of luxury revolves heavily around the concept of privacy. This intangible luxury will be reflected in Byōbu which will create a desirable atmosphere and bestow and sense privacy while using industrial materials found in Ras Al Khor.
